Australian Federal Election delays approval of Victorian Government State Migration Plan

As suspected, it looks like the next Australian Federal Election (21 AUG 2010) has pushed back the date of State Migration Plan approval. The Victorian Government have announced that their SMP will not be implemented before the 1st September 2010. It is now possible other states and territories may follow suit. We shall keep you posted.

May we also appeal to the subsequent new Immigration Minister (of which ever party) to take charge of the Department and administer it with more mind to the impact constant policy shifts and changes to processing requirements and timeframes have on many potential skilled migrants.
